The stylish good looks of Artisan Manufacturing Corp.’s new stainless steel farmhouse sink are the ideal choice for a kitchen, bar area or pantry, according to the company.

Made from a heavy, 16-gauge, premium stainless steel, it is highly resistant to stains and corrosion. The underside of the sink is fully coated and padded with extra rubber to help deaden sound and maintain water temperature. The sink is designed to fit into a 36-inch cabinet. This attractive, functional and affordable sink is perfect for a design-oriented kitchen, Artisan Manufacturing reports.

DuPont™ StoneTech™ Professional introduced two improved stone and tile sealers at StonExpo 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. DuPont™ StoneTech™ Professional BulletProof® Sealer and Heavy Duty Sealer are water-based, environmentally preferable sealers that have been reformulated to improve their performance and make them easier to apply.

“This new generation of water-based sealers significantly reduces the occurrence of residue, making them easier to work with and producing better results,” said Cathy Hampton, general manager of DuPont™ StoneTech™. “They represent some of the most effective sealers on the market today, solvent- or water-based, and offer maximum protection against water and stains.”

Furthermore, research by DuPont, using Ceramic Tile Institute standards, showed that BulletProof® and Heavy Duty sealers outperformed competing water-based sealers and showed equivalent or better performance against competing solvent-based sealers, according to the company. BulletProof® and Heavy Duty sealers also showed comparable or better to oil, water and stain resistance.

“These new formulations provide outstanding protection against stains,” said Gerry D’Amore, Product Manager for Marble & Granite Inc. of Westwood, MA.  “Users of BulletProof® and Heavy Duty sealers will be pleased with the results.”

Because DuPont™ StoneTech™ Professional BulletProof® Sealer and Heavy Duty Sealer are water based and contain low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), they are environmentally preferable and compliant with recently enacted VOC regulations affecting areas in Arizona, California, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

“DuPont is committed to continuously improving our products and raising the performance bar in the industry,” Hampton said. “Everyday DuPont provides customized solutions needed to solve problems and create new opportunities for customers, which in turn allows them the freedom to innovate.”

DuPont™ BulletProof® Sealer and Heavy Duty Sealer will be available nationally in quart, 1-gallon, 5-gallon and 55-gallon sizes. In addition, both will now be available in pint-sized containers.
