Newsline: NATURAL STONE 2006 TO TAKE PLACE THIS MONTH IN ISTANBUL, TURKEY . . .
Organized by CNR International Fairs at CNR Expo in Istanbul, Turkey, Natural Stone 2006 is set to take place from August 24 to 27. The event will be a showcase of firms from the Turkish stone sector as well as machinery suppliers from abroad.
Approximately 200 varieties of marble, travertine, onyx and other materials will be on display from Turkish provinces such as Afyon, Elazig, Denizli, Bursa, Balikesir and Diyarbakir.
Natural Stone 2005, which expanded 150% from the previous year, took place in five halls within the center, and it included 372 local and 28 international exhibiting firms. A total of 23,008 local and 1,617 foreigners visited the fair.
This year, organizers expect around 25,000 professional visitors from Turkey as well as EU countries, the U.S., China, India, Israel, Greece, Russia, Iran, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.
