The StonExpo Federation elected Jim Owens of the Indiana Limestone Institute as its president for the 2001-2002 term. Other officers elected were: John Mattke, Cold Spring Granite Co., vice president; Tom Robinson, Elberton Granite Association, secretary; and Robert LeCoultre, Sawing Systems, treasurer. Gary Stroeing of Park Industries continues to serve on the executive committee as immediate past president.

A newly elected trustee to the board was Doug Slocum of Braxton Bragg. Re-elected to serve three-year terms were: Peter Wyatt, NED Corp.; Michael Wiston, Valley Marble & Slate Corp.; Don Sheldon, North Carolina Granite (representing the National Building Granite Quarries Association); and Jerry Taylor, Diamant Boart.

Trustees continuing on the board are: Chuck Monson, Dakota Granite Co. (representing the American Monument Association); Earl Zniewski, Rex Granite Co. (representing the Northwest Granite Manufacturers Association); Ranier Devido, Ranier Devido Stone Co. (representing the Allied Stone Industries); Bernie Polak, Denver Marble Co. (representing the Marble Institute of America); Alex Bachrach, Stone World; John Castaldo, Barre Granite Association; Peter de Kok, GranQuartz, Inc.; Peter Edwards, Precision Stonecraft; Paul Robitaille, Granicor (representing the Canadian Stone Association); Jordan Wright, Stone; and Earl West, Quality Marble (representing the Building Stone Institute).
