An elaborate mock-up of radius-cut marble stands outside the entrance to Testi Group's main offices in the Valpolicella region of Italy as testament to the company's abilities as a producer of cut-to-size stonework. The company has supplied architectural pieces for prestigious projects around the world, including the Banco Popolare project in Verona.
Of course, in addition to modern stoneworking machinery, Testi Group relies on the skill and experience of its workers. The level of handwork required depends on the nature of the project and the individual pieces being fabricated. “The CNC machinery will only go so far, and some products need to be hand finished,†explained Piereluigi Testi, general manager of the Testi Group.
