For several years the Polarstone product and manufacturing teams have been working on creating a superior quartz surfacing material capable of new application possibilities.

For the last few years, the Natural Stone Institute (NSI) has been hosting groups of industry professionals to various countries around the world — including Brazil, China, Italy and Turkey — as part of its efforts to promote the use of natural stone in design.
For the past eight years, the Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA) takes a group of fabricators from North America, many of which have never traveled once outside the country, and brings them to Italy to learn about machinery, tooling and different types of stone.
Designed by SOM Architects of New York and built under the responsibility of Turner Construction Co., the structure features JMS Jura Beige limestone, which blends perfectly with the choice of glass and aluminum.
As part of its efforts to promote the use of natural stone in design, it has been extending its global reach by sending delegations to countries such as Brazil, Italy, China – and most recently Turkey.
In 2005, Minera Deisi initiated its operations in Peru. After testing its travertine quarries for quality concerning color, porosity, composition, mechanical properties and obtaining results of the highest standards, the decision was made to invest in a brand new plant using Italian-made machinery.
