Every January, Stone World presents its annual Fabricator Market Forecast, where hundreds of stone fabrication professionals from around the country present their expectations for the coming year as well as their feelings for the long-term. 

Design of dimensional stone veneer is a straightforward process when the stone sizes are similar, utilize the same material and are connected to an appropriately framed structural backup. However, if stone panels of different sizes and shapes are part of the architectural vision and the existing backup wall limits the location of anchors, the designer must be creative and meticulous in the cladding design.

The 45th edition of Marmomacc - held in Verona, Italy, from September 29 to October 2 - enjoyed significant increases in international exhibitors and visitors, helping to consolidate the show’s position as the most important annual global event for the stone industry.

Diasant introduces its new 4-horsepower, heavy-duty portable edge profiling and polishing machine, available from Regent Stone Products. The Diasant 6000 HD is a two-speed (3,000 or 6,000 RPM), hydroplaning, continuous-duty router capable of working granite edge profiles up to 10 cm thick.

The use of the diamond wire technology has always been considered the new frontier in the stone industry, leading Pellegrini Meccanica to produce the relevant equipment for both quarry exploitation and stone processing factories.
