KENT, OH -- Pamela S. Wilson, a long-time sales representative and manager in the tile industry, passed away at her home on August 5, 2025.

Pam became interested in the beauty of tile and stone through her husband, David, a fourth-generation installer and contractor and the founder and owner of Portage Tile & Marble in Kent, OH. She started her career with several Cleveland-area companies, including Ceramic Tile Distributors and the Thomas Brick & Tile Company.

In 1995, Pam transitioned to national sales with the Sonoma Tile Company and then worked for Country Floors of New York City and Los Angeles, where she became the national sales manager for Dealer Sales. This was her favorite job thanks to Norman and Shannon Karlson.

In the 2000’s, Pam joined Gainey Ceramics of Long Beach, CA, and then worked for Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati, OH, who brought her in to start marketing the tile-side of their business.

Pam also worked as a sales representative for Trikeenan of Hornell, NY, and their sister company, McIntyre, of Healdsburg CA.

Pam made many friends in the industry all over the U.S. and abroad, and she attended many trips to Coverings.

She leaves behind husband of 52 years, David; sons, Matthew (Jennifer) and Scott (Shelly); and four grandsons, Logan, Dylan, Rheinhart and Freddie.
