Five-Star Mediterranean village uses modular marble
From Miami to the French Riviera and the Croatian coast, more and more architects and private customers in the world’s most prestigious beach resorts are finding the answer to their style needs in the combination of stunningly beautiful marble and unique, first-rate laying abilities.
Margraf, a Vicenza, Italy-based company, was chosen to provide prized marble and natural stones for a luxurious project just a few miles from the sea, on peaceful high ground near Poreč. Taking inspiration from classical style, the aim was to create a new “village” – Borghetto Villas -- with the very finest facilities and cutting-edge technology to promote well-being.
As well as a number of restaurants and a health center, there are, more than 40 tourist villas with their own pools, private gardens and sea views in the deluxe complex. Margraf takes center stage, adding a unique, refined touch to the interiors. The project used a total of 1,500 square meters of marble for the bathroom and kitchen countertops, as well as the floor walls.
Margraf’s modular marble (in standard sizes of 45.7 x 45.7, 30.5 x 30.5 and 61 x 30.5 cm, with a thickness of 1 cm) can be found on the floors and walls of the majority of the homes. Prized book-match style and custom-made marble and onyx embellishes the bathrooms, the kitchens and the most prominent areas, such as the monumental entrances.
