Crossville introduces the Gotham collection

July 6, 2015

CROSSVILLE, TN -- Crossville, Inc. has introduced the Gotham porcelain tile collection. The latest addition to the company's domestically produced tile lines, Gotham offers a fresh interpretation of the look of stained concrete in a range of gritty yet glamorous colors.

"Imagine all the tones and shades you might see throughout the big city as night starts to fall," said Lindsey Waldrep, vice president of marketing for Crossville. "That imagery was the inspiration for Gotham and its color options -- very urban, industrial chic, and sophisticated."

Waldrep states that Gotham's appearance captures the detailed subtleties of concrete's aggregate surface, nuanced across all six of the collection's foundational colors and enhanced by the unpolished finish. "With our manufacturing technology, we're able to bring amazing looks to life," she said. "Each color of Gotham has its own unique feel -- designed to bring rich, foundational looks to commercial and residential decor."

The six color options range from lighter to dark tones: Lamp Post, Penthouse, Clock Tower, Main Line, Dockside, and Pavement, which were each named for iconic elements of urban cityscapes.

The two calibrated field tile size options are the generously proportioned 12 x 24 inches and the versatile 2 x 6 inches. Additionally, the collection comes with a 4- x 24-inch bullnose trim and a 6- x 12-inch covebase that allow for fully finished installations. As a calibrated product, Gotham is an excellent choice for value-conscious design projects.

"Gotham is launching in the wake of success of our other calibrated lines, Ready to Wear and Basalt," said Waldrep. "It's great to answer the market’s need for value-conscious options."

Gotham is recommended for interior floors, walls, countertops, and exterior walls in both residential and commercial applications. It is not recommended for exterior horizontal surfaces or exterior paving. Full installation recommendations may be found online and on product literature.

In keeping with all products produced at Crossville's Tennessee manufacturing facilities, Gotham is made using third-party certified, sustainable processes, is Green Squared certified, and contains a minimum 4% recycled content.
