The D30 from Atlas Copco
The D30 from Atlas Copco is a compact and highly productive four-wheel driven, down-the-hole drill rig, equipped with the Cop 32 or Cop 35 QLX, tailor-made by Atlas Copco for the dimension stone industry. Its specialized design makes it capable of drilling horizontal holes from just eight cm above the ground (from the center of the hole). 
The rig comes with Radio Remote Control (RRC) as a standard feature and drills straight holes that are both vertical and horizontal for passing the diamond wire. Users can more than double their drilling speed by using a 174 PSI compressor, which is not included. At the recent Marmomacc fair in Verona, Italy, Atlas Copco displayed a unit that was headed for Levantina, a leading worldwide producer of natural stone.
