The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), the
largest tile contractors association in the world, in alliance with the Ceramic
Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) and the Tile Council of North America (TCNA),
collectively have announced the 2011 Goals for the Certified Tile Installer
Program. Since its inception in 2008, the Certified Tile Installer (CTI)
Program has certified over 500 tile installers, a milestone for the industry.
This year’s goal will be to extend and expand the existing roster to over 1,000
certified tile installers by the end of 2011.
Artistic Tile, one of the country’s leading luxury tile and stone firms,
announced that it has acquired Waterfall Bathroom Furniture, a privately held
manufacturer of bathroom furnishings crafted in Canada, formerly headquartered
in New York, NY. “The acquisition of Waterfall is a natural fit with our
mission of offering beautifully designed, superbly crafted products that appeal
to designers and homeowners,” said Nancy Epstein, Founder and CEO of Artistic
Tile.
Laticrete announced the formation of an entirely new sales division designed to
increase sales and facility usage without diluting the efforts of an already
strong sales staff in the tile and stone sector. The new Laticrete Specialty
Products Division (SPD) will be led by a long-time company executive, John Striednig,
who was promoted to Director of the new division.
