GranQuartz and Keystone announce merger

July 8, 2009

GranQuartz and Keystone have announced that the companies are being merged to create a single business entity serving the stone fabrication, natural stone and concrete restoration markets. The combined business will be called GranQuartz and headquartered in Tucker, GA.

The combined organization now services over 10,000 customers. These customers will be serviced by 30 outside field sales professionals and 33 mobile salesmen in trucks, as well as 12 retail stores and distribution centers. The distribution centers include all the current GranQuartz and Keystone sites. The company also announce that it is opening a new, additional distribution facility this month in North Attleboro, MA, to service customers in the Northeast.

"Combining the organizations made sense for both companies, but more importantly for our customers and suppliers," said Rich Berry, President/CEO of GranQuartz. "The increased resources of a combined company will enable us to better service our customers coast to coast while also providing our valued suppliers with the industry's strongest distribution partner."

GranQuartz customers will now have availability of over 6,500 catalog items from over 300 suppliers. They will be able to order via their local salesperson, at their local store, through a mobile truck, online at  www.granquartz.com or through the company's print catalog and call centers. Industry-leading initiatives such as the customer rewards program and more will now be available to customers throughout the country. Keystone Tools' KeyRewards program will be combined with GranQuartz' DiamondRewards program.

"This opens an exciting chapter in GranQuartz's history," said Dan Davidenko, Vice President of Sales at GranQuartz. "We will now be a national organization. Our multiple sales channels -- combined with the largest inventory of stone tool supplies and equipment in the country -- enable us to serve our customers how they want to be served. The stone fabrication market has been challenged for the past year, and this merger opens up new opportunities for our customers, our vendors, and for GranQuartz."

For more information, contact your local salesperson, call 1-800-458-6222 or visit www.granquartz.com.
