Patricia Cronin of New York, NY, was the artist who made the over life-sized figurative sculpture featured in the article on Johnson Atelier in the August 2002 issue of Stone World ("Taking sculpture to the next level." page 36). The sculpture, which is shown on page 42, is entitled "Memorial to a Marriage," and its fabrication was sponsored by Grand Arts of Kansas City, MO. After its debut in Kansas City, the sculpture will be permanently installed in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. "It has been so exciting to be the first artist to use the Omag 5 machine, and perhaps it will bring back figurative public stone sculpture," Cronin said. According to Paul Whitfield, vice president of Regent, this new facility will allow the company to keep its full line of saws and polishers in stock at all times, allowing for rapid delivery and installation and greater overall customer satisfaction.
