The 5th China Xiamen International Stone Fair will be held from March 3 to 6, 2005, at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. This event will span across three halls, with over 215,000 square feet of exhibition space and 1,000 booths showcasing natural stone and stoneworking machinery. To promote the fair internationally, the organizers have advertised in publications throughout the world, including magazines in Italy, Spain, the U.S., India, Turkey, Singapore, Poland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, Russia and Egypt.

Visitors to Xiamen will not only be able to tour the exhibition, but also travel to the stone factories in the region. Show organizers report that there are nearly 500 stone industry companies within Xiamen, including 426 dealing with exports. The stone import and export volume of Xiamen has led the nation for years, and it is responsible for 64% of China's stone exports.

The China Xiamen International Stone Fair is co-sponsored by the China Chamber of Commerce (Metal Mineral and Chemical Importers and Exporters) as well as the Xiamen Municipal Trade Development Bureau and CCPIT Xiamen Sub-Council.
