LIVE SHOW REPORT: Fabrication machinery on display at Coverings 2010
April 29, 2010
In addition to serving as a showcase of stone, tile, installation and maintenance products, Coverings is a platform for equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and abroad to display the latest stoneworking technology.
As expected in the U.S. market, much of the machinery was directed towards countertop fabricators, including bridge saws, waterjet techology, polishers and tooling. However, exhibitors also displayed equipment for processing three-dimensional elements and architectural stonework, as a number of countertop fabricators cited a desire to expand their product offerings.
Machinery exhibitors at Coverings reported that fabricator attendance at the event appears to have improved over 2009, and many of them were consistently busy showing off their technology to visitors.
A full recap of the technology innovations at Coverings will be presented in a future issue of Stone World.
