The Pellegrini Meccanica multiple-wire saw range now includes a new model: the Polywire 34. Designed for fast and flexible production, the Polywire 34 continues to propel this latest revolution in the stone industry. Users of the saw can cut 34 slabs at a time, and according to Pellegrini, a single machine can match the production of three granite gangsaws.

Additionally, it is possible to achieve different slab thicknesses in the same cutting time, based upon the production needs, and it is also possible to change the thickness very quickly. The block sizes can be up to 350 cm (11 ½ feet) long x 210 cm (6 ½ feet) high. The variable diamond wire speed lets the user set the ideal cutting parameters for any type of stone, and the patented MultiPull electro-hydraulic wire tension system ensures ideal tension in each wire. This, together with large-diameter flywheels, ensures long diamond wire life and fast, accurate cutting.

If the local weather at a stoneworking plant allows, the company can install the machine outdoors, thus eliminating the need for a building. Additionally, the foundation for the machine is low-cost, as users simply have to make sure the block carriages are under a gantry crane of adequate capacity.
