Custom Building Products, a manufacturer of stone and tile installation products, added the Stone Grout Float to its line of SuperiorBilt, ProBiltSeriesTM floats. This new tool offers a softer edge, designed to minimize grout residue on stone or other textured surfaces, according to the company.

Similar to all the Custom Building Products series of grout floats, the new Stone Float utilizes polyproxylene, a technologically advanced material that offers a no-mar, no-scratch surface. This material is adjusted in the manufacturing process to make the body softer than those of grout floats for other types of surfaces, Custom Building reports.

The company recently enhanced the floats with a new SoftGrip handle, made of thermoplastic rubber, which eliminates hand strain and fatigue, and provides a no-slip grip in wet conditions. These handles are plastic based, with over-molded rubber that will not crack or separate under any condition. Circle No. 244
