The Rockheads Group held its annual benchmarking meeting where more than 60 individual members who represent more than 30 companies gathered in Portland, Ore., to review and compare their financial statements. Members submitted their company financials to be utilized for benchmarking discussions with the purpose of learning from one another, sharing best practice standards, and understanding their influence in the market.

The sharing of privileged data allowed members to analyze individual financial variables and provide perspective to capitalize on areas of opportunity for their own businesses. Thanks to the culmination of data collected, the findings revealed the Rockheads network represents over $600 million in sales per year, more than 3,400 employees, over 1 million sq ft of manufacturing facility space, over 8 million sq ft of stone fabricated and installed, and over $200,000 in installations per year.

“Though we’ve hosted benchmarking meetings in the past, this year’s was particularly eye opening,” said Jon Kaplan, managing director of the Rockheads Group. “There was a renewed sense of energy in the room. The review proved invaluable and made it clearer than ever that continuous knowledge sharing with other industry leaders will propel these companies forward in collective success.”

Rockheads Member Precision Countertops opened the doors of its Wilsonville location to the group, offering tours of its 70,000 sq ft fabrication shop. During the visit, members took note of Precision Countertops’ methods in fabrication, operations, and administrative processes. After touring the facilities, meeting sponsors Granite Gold, Daltile, Arthur J. Gallagher, Imagilux, and Laser Products presented a roundtable discussions on how to maximize Rockhead affiliation.

During the conference, the organization also announced it will now host quarterly meetings, the next of which will be held in St. Louis.
