Cold Spring Granite now an approved provider through ASLA Continuing Education System

May 29, 2012
COLD SPRING, MN -- Cold Spring Granite is now an approved provider through the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Continuing Education System. Continuing education is required for landscape architecture license renewal in 34 states. In response to this need, ASLA offers landscape architects and related design professionals continuing education courses from more than 130 approved providers through their Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES).  Cold Spring Granite's program on "Using Natural Stone in Today's Landscape Architecture Granite Quarrying and Fabrication"is now offered as part of this program.

Cold Spring Granite's program is intended to give design professionals a comprehensive understanding of natural stone and its use in the landscape architecture design community. The presentation provides information on stone formation, quarrying, fabrication process, piece size and thickness, applications, finishes and sampling, setting systems, testing and pricing considerations. The presentation also explains how the natural stone industry is playing a role in green construction and can contribute to LEED points. Best practices and case studies also are shared in the program.

To find out more information about Cold Spring Granite's ASLA presentations or to schedule a session, please contact the Cold Spring Granite office at (800) 551_7502 or via email archdivision@coldspringgranite.com.
