Universal Granite & Marble hosts showroom launch party

CLEVELAND, OH - Universal Granite & Marble (UGM), one of the largest importers and wholesalers of natural stone in the U.S., hosted more than 130 guests at its Cleveland Showroom Launch Party on March 13, 2008, to showcase the company’s new selections and designer-friendly showroom to architects, designers, contractors and fabricators.

The event was a virtual “who’s who” of the kitchen countertops fabrication industry, drawing in attendees from well-known companies, such as Fatica Kitchens (remodelers), Scandinavian Signature Design and Faralli Kitchen and Bath (designers), as well as Landmark Stone, Korkan Granite, G & G, Skok and All Stone (fabricators). Attendees enjoyed catered food and beverages with live entertainment from “Jazz on the Latin Side” while touring the Cleveland showroom. UGM Cleveland stocks an enormous selection of granite, limestone, marble and quartz slabs in 2 and 3 cm thicknesses, offering classic, premium and exotic colors to its customers in Ohio. Tiles are also sold through a centralized distribution system from Bellwood.

“The new showroom will give us great opportunity to show our commitment to the natural stone industry and our customers to help them grow their business,” said Harmeet Begga, Store Manager. “The party helped us to extend our appreciation and hospitality to existing customers, and confidence to the potential customers that UGM is the preferred vendor for many in the trade.”

“UGM Cleveland understands the fact that customers are pretty discerning and are looking for value propositions that comprise of a good deal, a great experience and an unbeatable choice,” said Rakesh Malhotra, Group Chief Operating Officer, who was present at the occasion to meet and greet the customers. “We were pleased to hear our customers excited about the elegant look and feel of the showroom, its great variety of stone selection and our company’s commitment to customer service.”
