Universal Granite & Marble Inc. (UGM) has announced the immediate availability of the Quarella Industrial Stone Composite, which can be used anywhere that natural stone is used, according to the company. This includes kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities and backsplashes, airport flooring, shopping centers and other public areas. Quarella produces various types of composite stone, including quartz-based slabs that are used mostly for kitchen countertops and marble-based albs for vanity tops and tiles. Stone composite (engineered stone) has a uniform flow and no two colors are the same, according to Universal Granite & Marble. They are also fairly consistent in color and veining, made of harder material and the fabrication process results in less wastage. The new line may be purchased at any of the UGM Stone Galleries in Naperville, IL; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Cleveland, OH; and Milwaukee, WI.
