New firm is formed in Brazil

Flavia Roncetti and Fabricio Trés

VITÓRIA, BRAZIL - After many years of working in the stone business in Brazil, Flavia Roncetti and Fabricio Trés have established Made in Brazil - Consulting & Commerce.

Made in Brazil has two divisions - consulting and direct sales. In one division, they work to assist Brazilian suppliers in working in a more competitive and demanding market, increasing and creating new business opportunities. For the commercial side, they represent small- and medium-sized factories in Brazil, offering more than 60 colors of Brazilian stones, as well as additional services such as cut-to-size projects, procurement, quality inspection, purchasing trip planning, marketing solutions and much more.

In 2007, they developed a project for Tec Tear Granitos, helping to build the company’s own commercial department and expand its direct sales to the U.S. and Canada. The results were very effective, the company reports, as Tec Tear sales increased 40% last year.

Since February they have been working with Angraex, a leading supplier in Brazil, in order to deal with the market pressures of keeping competitive costs and a high-quality level.

For 2008, Roncetti and Trés are working on new projects, and their main challenge is to find new alternatives to overcome the instability of the American market. “This year will be a turning point for all of us in the stone business,” said Roncetti. “There is no room for amateurs, every step must be carefully planned and only the best will succeed.”
