Continuing growth

CHULA VISTA, CA - D' Piedra Creations in Stone, Inc. combines the talents of four principals, Ramon Barajas, Mario Dominguez, MariaEsther Gonzalez and Ken Meyers, with over 80 years experience in the management of stone industry and multi-national businesses.

"Our success stems mainly from our ability to get the job done quickly and professionally, "said Barajas. "We employ anywhere from 20 to 40 people depending on the season, and use only top-skilled personnel. We do kitchens, baths, walls, floors, moldings, fireplaces - whatever you can imagine, we can create in natural stone."

According to Gonzalez, most of the company's business is done by word of mouth from satisfied homeowners, contractors, architects, interior designers and trade people. "Our schedules are tight and well planned, with back up systems in place," he said. "Our personnel and equipment must perform at top efficiency without sacrificing the creative talent involved."

This was the main reason that D'Piedra Creations in Stone, Inc. decided to purchase its Matrix GSC-2001 Gantry Saw. "We learned a long time ago that if we planned on being the best, we had to settle for nothing but the best," stated Meyers. "We take great satisfaction in working with Matrix. Their installation and training was the most professional we have ever experienced."

According to Dominguez, the company's work is performed to such close tolerances that it would not have been possible without the right tools. "We are very fortunate to have our Matrix gantry saw," he said. "The laser allowed us to best maximize use and greatly reduce the layout time. This all saved us hours of intricate angle cutting, and in business, time is money."

The company does business mainly in San Diego communities, such as La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar and exclusive beach front and selected properties that enjoy enormous continued growth in the area. The remainder of the company's market area covers virtually all of Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah.
