Akemi Chemisch-Technische Spezialfabrik GmbH (Akemi GmbH), with the agreement and assistance of Akemi North America, Inc. (Akemi NA), has restructured its U.S. distribution, under which Akemi Germany will support domestic distribution and some U.S. manufacturing in the state of Georgia through:

The announcement came jointly from Torsten Hamann, President of Akemi GMBH and Salvatore Banchitta, President of Akemi North America. As a consequence of this development, the distribution functions of Akemi NA will be absorbed by Akemi GmbH. Akemi Germany expressed appreciation appreciates for the past efforts of Akemi NA.

InnoChem LLC will inventory the Akemi polyester, epoxy, stone maintenance, and related products.

Aside of the distribution of Akemi-branded products, InnoChem LLC acquired the assets of Plastic Associates Manufacturing Inc., the manufacturer of K-Bond polyester and epoxy adhesive products. InnoChem LLC also manufactures stone maintenance chemicals and coloring pigments for the natural stone industry.

In order to provide customers with high-quality chemicals based on the latest technology, InnChem LLC is opening a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Doraville.

The expanded domestic activities of Akemi with respect to InnoChem include enhanced and ongoing training and product offering to the natural stone industry in North America.
