Bedrock Quartz

Reason for Nomination:

It is with great enthusiasm that we nominate Alan Jorgensen, CEO, Bedrock Quartz for the 2025 Stone World Fabricator of the Year award. Alan exemplifies the kind of leadership and industry-advancement that this award seeks to recognize.

Leadership & Company Growth
From humble beginnings working alongside their father, the three Jorgensen brothers -- Alan (CEO), Eric (president of operations) and Steve (sales leadership) -- have built Bedrock Quartz into one of Utah’s largest and most respected stone fabrication companies. What started as a small family countertop business is now a powerhouse of over 160 employees, installing 30 kitchens per day (on average) across the state. Under Alan’s leadership as CEO, the company has:

* Built a 120,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art fabrication and corporate facility, with Utah’s snowcapped mountains in its backdrop.
* Opened multiple showrooms throughout Utah, including: West Jordan, Layton, Murray, Spanish Fork, St. George and a newly announced Sandy showroom in 2025.
* Fostered a tight-knit empowered team that’s hungry to take on any challenge.
* Earned multiple awards, including being recognized as one of USA Today’s Best Places to Work in 2024 and 2025. Alan’s leadership style blends strategy with heart -- empowering his team, staying true to core family values and continuously reinvesting in technology and people to keep Bedrock Quartz on top.

Innovation & Industry Advancement
Walk through Bedrock Quartz and it’s clear -- this isn’t your average fabrication shop -- it’s a showcase of modern stone manufacturing at its finest. Alan has steered Bedrock Quartz into the forefront of the industry with precision manufacturing at scale.
* Bedrock Quartz operates with a full complement of advanced equipment, primarily from Park Industries, including: five CNC routers, four two-table sawjets and a highly automated workflow -- enabling production of up to 10,000 square feet per week.
* The facility routinely handles advanced materials (e.g., quartzite, Dekton, porcelain) and significant mitering work (about one-third of weekly production).

Industry Education & Sharing
Alan’s commitment to the industry goes far beyond his own walls. In June, he and his team opened Bedrock Quartz’s doors to fabricators nationwide, hosting the Park Industries Fabricator Exchange in Salt Lake City. Alan and his team shared their growth story to a full audience, then provided a porcelain‐cutting workshop and allowed attendees a behind‐the‐scenes tour of their facility. Bedrock Quartz is also engaged across the industry, proudly participating in and supporting organizations such as the Artisan Group, Utah Home Builders Association, Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA), Natural Stone Institute (NSI) and more.

Dedication to Excellence and Craft
Alan’s time in fabrication began early as he began helping his father, who founded Bedrock, at just six years old. He learned craftsmanship, customer care and this core value that has stuck with him to today: always focus on doing the job right the first time. This value -- passed from father to sons -- has shaped a culture of quality and reliability at Bedrock Quartz. Alan’s dedication manifests not only in output numbers, but in customer experience and the company’s reputation (e.g., more than 1,000 five-star reviews). Furthermore, the company has recently been recognized as among Utah’s “Top Places to Work” by USA Today, reflecting Alan’s leadership in workforce culture as well. The company’s “family business” value is central to its identity and success. Conclusion, Alan Jorgensen stands as a true leader, not just at Bedrock Quartz, but in the stone industry. For his visionary leadership, his dedication to innovation and his passion for lifting others along the way, Park Industries is proud to nominate Alan Jorgensen for the 2025 Stone Fabricator of the Year. Park Industries Proud Partner to Bedrock Quartz since 2002

Stone Works of Augusta

Reason for Nomination:

Tim Farr of Stoneworks of Augusta in Augusta, GA, is celebrating 25 years in the stone business in 2026. He is a hard worker, great entrepreneur and family man. Tim is running his business with integrity and a very high level of professionalism. His team recognizes him as great leader and mentor.
A longtime fabricator, Tim entered the stone industry almost by accident. Originally a carpenter, he and his business partner transitioned from cabinet and countertop work into stone fabrication as customer demand shifted from Corian to natural stone. Now approaching their 25th year in business, Stoneworks of Augusta remains a small 10-person shop focused on quality over quantity, producing roughly 10 kitchens a week and frequently taking on challenging projects that other fabricators won’t. The company’s work ranges from granite and quartz to a significant amount of quartzite, with a reputation for standing firmly behind everything they install. Tim takes pride in the company’s long-standing customer relationships, their commitment to craftsmanship and the trust they have built in their community over more than two decades.
