MODEN, EMILIA-ROMAGNA, ITALY -- Florim Magnum Oversize was bestowed an "Honourable Mention" award at the 24th annual ADI Compasso d'Oroawards ceremony, and made part of the permanent ADI Compasso d'Oro Historic Collection.

The winners were announced on June 14, 2016, in Milan during the awards ceremony at Palazzo Isimbardi, which hosted "I 10 giorni del Compasso d'Oro ADI" ("The 10 days of the ADI Compasso d'Oro") until June 24, the exhibition dedicated to the winners and participants in this year's awards. The review brings together 237 design products belonging to different categories, including furnishings, lighting, transportation, services and personal items.

After the pre-selection phase carried out by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory, which saw Florim's large-format slabs included in the ADI Design Index 2015,the Compasso d'Oro international jury assessed the best products and projects reviewed in the annual report, ultimately awarding an "Honourable Mention" to Florim Magnum Oversize, which was just one of over 150 candidates.

Creativity, originality, technique and harmonywere the values sought after and rewarded in this edition of the Compasso d'Oro, which assigned a total of 13 awards and 56 mentions, as well as the customary Career Awards, International Awards and the Targa Giovani awards for young designers.

Florim's ceramic slabs once again confirm their reputation as a successful product, known and recognized at international level for their highly advanced technical and aesthetic qualities. Just two years after hitting the market, Magnum Oversize was also one of the winners of the 2014 ADI Ceramics Design Awards at Cersaie, held in Bologna, Italy last September.

Available in 9 formats -- from 80 x 80 to 160 x 320 cm -- with five different material inspirations and a thickness of just 6 mm, the Magnum slabs reinterpret the ceramic product introducing the concept of the visual continuity of spaces. The surfaces therefore become universal and highly versatile, capable of bringing new value to the world of construction, architecture and interior design.
