The Surface Design Awards 2026, hosted as part of the Surface Design Show which is scheduled from February 3 to 5, 2026, at the Business Design Centre in London, England are now open for entries. This year’s edition introduces 10 exciting new categories -- spanning both projects and products -- to recognize the expanding boundaries of surface design.

The organization brings together six industry professionals with diverse experience as a way to elevate floor industry standards.

The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) has opened registration for its 2026 event, taking place February 17th to 19th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. Owned by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and produced by Emerald Expositions, KBIS is the largest North American trade expo and networking event for the $235 billion kitchen and bath industry. The show returns to Orlando after three years in Las Vegas, following a record-breaking 2025 event.

The International Surface Event (tise), scheduled for January 27 to 29, 2026, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, will bring together the most influential professionals in flooring, stone and tile -- creating a dynamic environment where new ideas meet opportunity. 

On Friday, August 29, 2025, following the positive news regarding the imposition of additional tariffs on products from India, the Coalition for Fair Trade in Ceramic Tile renewed its call for anti-dumping and anti-subsidy tariffs on tiles from India that have been illegally dumped in the U.S. market.

It is with profound sadness that The Korte Company, a nationally recognized design-build construction company, announced the passing of its founder, Ralph Korte, on August 26, 2025 -- surrounded by family.

The Natural Stone Institute (NSI) will have a new booth location at Marmomac this year. The international stone exhibition, held annually in Verona, Italy, is scheduled for September 22 to 26, 2025. NSI will be based at Booth G7, between Galleria 2 and 3 on the fairgrounds.
