BETHANY, CT -- Laticrete International, Inc.¿s installation systems were an integral part of the new, large-scale Ilus W. Davis Park Mall in Kansas City, MO. This state-of-the-art pedestrian plaza covers two city blocks and features a number of architectural elements to provide pedestrians with a visually stimulating shopping experience. The plaza was completed with 40,000 square feet of top-quality granite from Cold Spring Granite Co. The focal point of the space is a granite fountain with a dramatic waterfall that empties into a 9,000-square-foot flamed black granite reflecting pool. Laticrete 9235 Waterproofing Membrane was used to waterproof the fountain and pool. The granite was set with Laticrete 4237 Latex Thin-Set Mortar Additive mixed with Laticrete 211 Crete Filler Powder and Laticrete 3701 Mortar Admix and Laticrete 226 Thick Bed Mortar. The reflecting pool was grouted with Latapoxy¿ SP-100 Stainless Epoxy Grout. The pavers were grouted with Laticrete 500 Series mixed with Laticrete 3701 Mortar Mix.
