LAS VEGAS, NV -- After a successful debut, Coverings and Environmental Design + Construction magazine will once again hold PROJECT: Green, a competition open to architects, designers, builders, contractors, distributors, retailers, manufacturers and installers.  Winners will be announced during Coverings, the U.S. stone and tile exhibition which is scheduled to take place from March 14 to 17, 2011 at the Sands Exposition Center in Las Vegas, NV.
PROJECT: Green will include three categories: residential, commercial and institutional. Projects, which can be new construction or remodels, must have been completed within the past two years (January 2009 to December 2010), and may be located either within the U.S. or internationally. Multiple entries are accepted and encouraged.  All entries must be received no later than Friday, January 14, 2011.

Criteria
Tile and Stone Usage: Use of tile and stone in the project areas being considered, including where and how much.

Aesthetic Design: Aesthetic attractiveness and/or uniqueness of the installed finish (0–20 points).
Positive Environmental Impact: Environmental effectiveness and/or significance of the project design installation and/or operation (0–5 points).

Environmental Innovation: Incorporation of design, installation and/or operational strategies not regularly addressed by green building standards or rating systems (0–5 points).

Use of Tile/Stone Products with Environmental Benefits (0-70 points).
