Prodim International has releases new version of Proliner® 8-Series

Prodim International has released a new version of its 3D-measuring device, the Proliner® 8-Series, which now makes it easier to measure two- or three-dimensional shapes, according to the company. The new compact and lightweight model has more storage space, a large 8 2/5-inch touch screen, simplified user-friendly software and extensive possibilities for expanded usage.

Weighing 8 ½ kilos, the machine is designed to offer optimal transportability and is especially useful for people who need to travel and measure on-site, according to the company. The measuring head can be folded into the machine for optimal protection during travel. The manufacturer reports that the compact design allows the user to conveniently transport the machine anywhere, i.e. it can be easily stored in overhead compartments on planes.

A socket connection, as well as the possibility to use rechargeable batteries provides optimal flexibility. The machine has a USB port, so results can be downloaded onto a laptop or USB stick, and the digitizing processing can be started immediately.

The Proliner® 8-Series works with the same dependable principle as the first Proliner® model, which registers the X-Y-Z coordinates of the desired shape, and translates these directly into a digital CAD file in DXF format.

The software platform of the Proliner® 8-Series has some CAD functionalities integrated into the machine, like trimming and fillet, which enables the user to prepare for production, while still onsite.

The Proliner® 8-Series can measure up to 14 meters, and with the integrated Leapfrog Software larger surfaces can be measured, such as swimming pool edges.

Stone industry: With the Proliner® 8-Series, stairs, bathrooms, formed profiles, sinks, countertops, backsplashes, etc. can be digitalized very fast and accurate.

Glass industry: With the Proliner® 8-Series, bent glass windows, complex shaped windows, ship windows, countertops, backsplashes, decoration glass, etc. can be digitalized very fast and accurate.

Wood industry: With the Proliner® 8-Series, stairs, doors, window frames, teak decks, countertops, interiors, vehicle interiors, etc. can be digitalized very fast and accurate.

Shipbuilding industry: With the Proliner® 8-Series, teak decks, railing plans, interiors, windows, ports, hatches, canvas covers, etc. can be digitalized very fast and accurate.

With the Proliner® 8-Series, the manufacturer reports that it is possible to carry two spare batteries, a digital camera and different add-ons, and there is still space for other items.

Designed for both functionality and looks, the Proliner® 8-Series is advanced, and has been made to provide maximum comfort, stability and durability. Additionally, the 8 2/5-inch touch screen makes the Proliner® 8-Series very user friendly.

The integrated speakers enable the user to adjust the beep-volume, which makes it suitable for noisy working environments. A LED light indicates the status of the battery.
