Laticrete has announced that it earned the Greenguard Environmental Institute's (GEI) indoor air quality certification. Based on criteria used by the U.S. EPA, OSHA, and the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED-CI Rating System, the Greenguard Certification offers assurance that the specified Laticrete Systems meet appropriate indoor air quality standards for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including formaldehyde.

“This prestigious certification of Laticrete technology provides architects, homebuilders and tile installers the confidence and proof when there is a need for low-VOC products and contributes to LEED certification,” said Sean Boyle of Laticrete.

The Greenguard Environmental Institute is a building industry leader regarding indoor air quality for both commercial and residential construction. This certification consists of the most stringent testing methods, conducted quarterly, to ensure that all products carrying the Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certifiedâ„¢ seal comply with acceptable standards.
