Gulf Coast Granite & Marble Inc. opened in October 2006 to help rebuild the Gulf Coast. Owner Dan Faron brings 25 years of experience in the stone industry - working his way from truck driver in 1981 to co-owner of a large granite marble and tile shop in the Saint Lewis, MO, area. His new enterprise, Gulf Coast Granite & Marble opened its doors six months ago in the Ocean Springs area of Biloxi, MS, to take part in rebuilding the area devastated by hurricane Katrina.

“I decided, after viewing the devastation of Katrina, to help do a part in the revitalization of this wonderful part of the country and help bring it back to life,” said Faron. “Our goal is to provide exceptional quality products at affordable prices to the folks in the Gulf Coast area. We now cover a 60-mile radius, and enjoy and take pride in being part of the tremendous growth of this community.”

Approximately 90% of the company’s business is in residential building and re-building, according to Faron. “We work for building contractors, architects and designers who have also taken part in this great project renewal,” he said. “Our staff includes estimators, engineers, project managers and design consultants as well as professional fabricators and installers. Patience and understanding is a large part of the process of rebuilding, and we do our utmost to help plan each new project from dealing with local planning to federal agencies.

“We believe there are many services our customers should never pay for like price estimates, design consultation services, solid surface sealing, faucet hole drilling and standard edge profiling,” Faron went on to say. “We run a full schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Our new fabrication facility is state-of-the-art and virtually runs non-stop. Our fabricators heavily rely on our Sebring Gantry Saw and a Contour CNC work center from Matrix Stone Products.”
