NEW JOINT-VENTURE FABRICATION PLANT ESTABLISHED IN TENNESSEE . . .

Stone Interiors North America has announced that it is joining forces with Vic Green, president and CEO of VIC International, in a relationship that will add a fourth fabrication facility located in Knoxville, TN. Stone Interiors-Knoxville will benefit from a highly experienced management team with extensive industry knowledge in natural stone, including fabrication, installation, tooling and equipment.

Kelly Milligan, currently Vice President of Operations for VIC International, will be responsible for day-to-day activities in Knoxville, and Brett Gowans, currently General Manager of Stone Interiors East, will assist with the initial start up of the Knoxville facility. Although sharing the same location, Stone Interiors-Knoxville will continue to operate independently of VIC International, as it currently does. VIC International will retain its independence and continue selling industry-related products throughout North America. The management teams for both companies will remain intact and both companies are positioning to support a significant growth in 2008.

VIC International is headquartered in Knoxville, TN, and employs a staff of 45, selling natural stone fabrication equipment, tooling and machinery throughout North America.

“This is truly an exciting time in the stone business,” said Green.

Stone Interiors North America opened its first location in Loxley, AL, and over the past 10 years, the company has grown to become one of the largest fabricators of natural stone countertops in the Southeast with facilities in New Orleans, LA, and Gaston, SC. “This additional facility in Tennessee will be better positioned to expand fabrication and installation opportunities throughout Tennessee and Virginia,” said G.K. Naquin, president of Stone Interiors North America. Stone Interiors-Knoxville began operation on October 1, 2007.
