SEAL BEACH, CA - Custom Building Products, a manufacturer of tile installation products, has announced the appointment of Mark Longfellow to director of marketing/market development, a position which was newly created. In his new role, Longfellow will oversee the strategic development of the company's backerboard, adhesive and grout product lines, including branding, positioning in the marketplace and new product launches.

"Mark has made a significant contribution to our business that has enhanced and strengthened our leadership in tile installation products," said John McMullen, senior vice president marketing of Custom Building Products. "We created this position to reflect our belief in his ability to add value to our customer relationships."

Longfellow joined Custom Building Products in 1999 as the regional sales manager of the Pacific North-west sales team. He also served as business development manager for board products. Prior to joining the company, Longfellow was the national sales manager of James Hardie Building Products.

"My goal is the same as the company's mission: to strengthen our leadership position as an inventive, dynamic organization," said Long-fellow. "Custom Building Products has always been on the leading edge of technology and product innovation. I am committed to driving the corporate strategy and maintaining our focus on the development of key products and quality service."
