NOVELDA, SPAIN - Levantina has received accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) wherein its products may be able to be used in U.S. buildings that fulfill the requirements on sustainability and environmental protection.

Under this USGBC seal, there are more than 18,000 companies from various construction sectors, including Levantina, that guarantee that their products are effective in terms of sustainability.

The USGBC’s certification is centered around Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED). From its implementation in 1998, LEED serves as a system to accredit sustainability in any type of construction. In order to achieve it, the finished building must meet a series of requirements that revolve around six fundamental premises: energy efficiency, the use of alternative energies, the improvement of the quality of the interior environment, the efficiency of water consumption, the sustainable development of the free spaces of the parcel and the selection of materials.

For Levantina, being a member of USGBC is a reaffirmation of its commitment to being a sustainably responsible company. In this regard, the company also recently received GreenGuard and GreenGuard Children certification, which ensures that products are created in a sustainable manner and do not emit toxins into the environment.
