One of Asia¿s largest events for the natural stone industry, Japan Stone Fair 2001, is set to take place in Tokyo from October 30 to November 2. Ten years have passed since the first Japan Stone Fair, and organizers report that more than 1,000 exhibitors from 15 countries had business with some 500,000 professional visitors during that time.

Japan Stone Fair 2001 will serve as a leading showcase for companies launching themselves or reinforcing their activities in Japan and Asia. Show organizers point out that the Japanese and Asian economies are rising again, and the construction market ¿has started to grasp the base for a turnaround recovery.¿ ¿After some years of slowdown, the building industry will be again the basis for the economical growth in Asia,¿ they stated.

The event will be hosted in conjunction with the Japan Home Show, one of the most influential events in Japan¿s building and construction industry. A total of more than 100,000 professional visitors are expected at the two shows.
