Global Granite & Marble streamlines ownership

ST. LOUIS, MO - Global Granite & Marble shareholders David Havens and Christian Condit recently announced that they have acquired 100% ownership of the company. They acquired all outstanding shares from partners Elliot Uchitelle, Mike Pontello and Alex Habr. The departure of Uchitelle, Pontello and Habr was amicable, and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“The entire Global Granite & Marble team has worked very hard to grow our business and become the Midwest’s premier importer and supplier of natural stone and equipment,” said Havens. “In addition to our showrooms and sales offices in three Midwestern cities, we’ve enhanced services by opening our Global Architectural Products division and by expanding our tool division. Most recently, we helped introduce the newest fabricating equipment, Global Easy Edger™ and the Global Vanity Master™, and are the exclusive U.S. dealer for these two state-of-the art machines.”

Commenting on the company’s geographic reach, Condit added that Global Granite & Marble now has an integrated distribution system throughout the Midwest. “With distribution links in St. Louis and Nixa, MO; Louisville, KY; and our newest in Peoria, IL, we are able to handle next-day delivery anywhere within the heartland.”

“We’ve become an industry source for fabricators, architects, designers and builders,” added Havens. “It all starts at the Global locations where we have several million dollars worth of merchandise in stock. We can help customers select and source the material they need for their home or business. I believe it’s our close working relationship with our overseas suppliers and American designers and fabricators that has made us an industry leader.”
