Celebrating its eighth edition, the Best Communicator Award program once again took place during Marmomacc 2014. The ceremony was held in the Santamargherita Arena in the Inside Marmomacc & Abitare il Tempo Hall. After visiting and evaluating all the exhibition booths, the jury rewarded those deserving most attention in view of the care and insight that was taken to highlight and convey the potential and prospects of the material presented.

The first-prize winners in each of the three categories were:

Design

Grassi Pietre, paired with architect Manuel Aires Mateus, for its “poetic reinterpretation of the theme of the patio and the use of stone in a free-flowing pattern. The project evokes and enhances the timeless value of stone.”

Innovation

MB S.p.A., designed by architect Giorgio Canale, for “having transformed machinery into an aesthetic matrix capable of generating the entire set-up and communication project.”

In the World

Stone Group International (Greece), designed by architect Michalis Theofilou, for “having created an evocative set-up capable of combining the myths of ancient Greece with contemporary stone processing.”

Additionally, Tab India received a Special Mention in the “In the World” category with its project designed by Barbara Pizzi. The jury commented, “It has the impressive articulation of space using stone artifacts in a series of colors on show.”
