Developments at Pokarna
SECUNDERABAD, INDIA -- Pokarna has been seeing a range of new developments in its operations for natural stone as well as Quantra quartz surfacing, and many of these initiatives were on display at the recent Stone+tec exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany.
Among them, Pokarna has gone operational with its Silver Waves quarry in South India. This material, which has random wavy movement of contrasting white and black, is well-suited for the U.S. and European markets.
Also in natural stone, Pokarna has begun bringing in materials from outside of India, including popular colors such as Brown Antique, Angola Black, Blues in the Night and Volga Blue.
In terms of quartz surfacing, Pokarna has developed a material named "Lunar Night," which has a similar color tone to Belgian Blue.
