WALKER ZANGER LAUNCHES DISCOUNT PROGRAM FOR MIA MEMBERS

SYLMAR, CA - Beginning immediately, Walker Zanger, one of the world’s most comprehensive stone and tile companies and a long-time member of the Marble Institute of America (MIA), offers members of the MIA a 5% discount on stone slabs, through its new MIA Member Discount Program. This program is scheduled to continue through the end of 2010.

“It has been our pleasure to support the Marble Institute of America for many years, and now we are happy to extend a discount to its members,” said Jonathan Zanger, president of Walker Zanger, and the recently appointed treasurer of the MIA and its board of directors. “The wonderful work the MIA has done over the past 65 years has not only contributed to advancements in the knowledge of the natural stone industry here in the United States, but has also increased the popularity of stone fabrication.”

The MIA Member Discount Program provides a price reduction on slab purchases made by any of the MIA’s stone fabricator members in good standing. Walker Zanger will discount its slab materials by 5% when purchased in accordance with the requirements of the program from any of the company’s 11 stone slab warehouses.

“MIA is very excited that Walker Zanger has stepped forward to introduce this very special offer for MIA members only,” said Gary Distelhorst, CEO of MIA. “This program allows members to potentially save a lot of money on slab purchases - more than the cost of MIA dues - while supporting an MIA member firm at the same time. The program is also being introduced at a time when the U.S. economy appears to be coming out of a serious recession, and every dollar saved can be a dollar earned.”

For more information about the new Walker Zanger MIA Member Discount Program, please contact Elisabetta Horvath, director of slab sales, at 914-667-1600, ext. 3303.
