John Harper, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Rita Kampalath, Chief Sustainability Officer for the County of Los Angeles, will take Greenbuild’s stage on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. PT.

The Natural Stone Institute (NSI) recognized Richard “Rick” Atkinson of Stony Creek Quarry in Branford, CT, as the recipient of the 2025 Thor Lundh Quarrier Award. The honor was presented during the NSI Study Tour in Georgia, recognizing Atkinson’s outstanding leadership and lifelong commitment to advancing the natural stone quarrying industry.

Jonathan Stanley, director of education and government strategies for Tarkett North America, has been appointed to a two-year term on the L.E.A.R.N. Board of Directors. The non-profit organization, whose acronym stands for Learning Environments Action Research Network, is centered around a vision of every student nationwide having access to learning environments that promote safety, access, innovation, health and sustainability.
