Stone fabricators participate in charity ride

The 9th Annual Harpoon Point to Point bike ride raised more than $85,000 in charitable funds. Pictured is Team Artisan Group, which included (from left to right) Jerry Bremer, Don Hinckley and Jon Lancto, who all raised more than $2,500 for the Vermont Foodbank.

Two fabrication professionals from the Artisan Group - Don Hinckley, owner of NBC Solid Surfaces in Springfield, VT, and Jon Lancto, owner of Surface Products of Cornelius, NC - rode in the Harpoon Point to Point bike ride to benefit the Vermont Foodbank for the second consecutive year.

The 9th Annual Harpoon Point to Point was a day of bicycle rides across the state of Vermont to benefit the Vermont Foodbank.

“I am proud to help the less fortunate in Vermont and happy to have had one of my fellow Artisan Group members join me in this challenging endeavor,” said Hinckley.

A collaborative effort by the Vermont Foodbank and the Harpoon Brewery, this ride was established to raise awareness and funds for the Vermont Foodbank and its efforts to end hunger in Vermont. A total of 480 cyclists rode a total of 27,940 miles to fight hunger in Vermont and they have raised more than $85,000 for the Vermont Foodbank.
