The 2001 International Tile and Stone Exposition in New Orleans, LA, will mark the first time that the Ceramic Tile Distributor's Association (CTDA) and Coverings invite all of the 2001 Coverings attendees to the event's opening night reception. CTDA Executive Director Rick Church is excited about the change. "Kicking off the premier tile and stone industry trade show with an all-industry reception will be out of this world," Church said. The reception will be teeming with New Orleans flavor. It will be held at New Orleans' own Howlin' Wolf, one of the city's world-class music venues, and will feature music by Snooks Eaglin and his band. Eaglin, known locally as "The Human Jukebox," has also been called the "Crescent City's Secret Weapon." At 64 years old, he is described as an eccentric virtuoso of the electric guitar. The reception is intended to provide an opportunity for Coverings attendees to network and is also expected to lay the groundwork for a profitable exposition. The reception is to be held on Sunday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m.
