One liners from July 2001

August 16, 2001
Cintec America, Inc., manufacturer and supplier of engineered masonry strengthening and reinforcing systems, has announced the appointment of Keith Matney as their National Sales and Training Manager. This new position is part of Cintec's planned expansion of U.S.-based operations. Matney comes to Cintec with 11 years experience from Cathedral Stone, manufacturer of Jahn Restoration Mortar, where he led both the marketing department and the Jahn Certification Program. He can be reached electronically at kmatney@cintec.com.

CMS North America Inc. announced a 15% increase in sales in 2000. "Our success in part is because we continue to bring innovation and new technology to manufacturers in all market segments," said President Amedeo DeCarolis. The company manufactures 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers and routers that can process wood, glass, marble, plastics and composites and aluminum.

At the recent Coverings exposition in New Orleans, LA, three generations were working the booth for Vic International: Vic Green, president, his daughter, Kelly Milligan, and granddaughter, Casey Milligan, age 7. "We start them young," Green said, recalling his own youthful start making Greenstone honing and polishing heads, which were Vic International's original products.
