GRANVILLE, NY - Evergreen Slate Co., one of the largest marketers of natural Vermont slate in the U.S., has announced the opening of its Southern Regional sales office. Since 1916, the company has provided high-quality products and excellent customer service as a leader in the slate industry.

Evergreen's new office in Sanger, TX, is strategically located to serve a five state area of Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The Texas office is headed by Mary K. Raleigh, an industry veteran with extensive experience in sales and roofing installation of Vermont slate and Ludowici tile.

“We are excited about establishing a local presence in an important market for Evergreen's wide range of slate roofing and structural products,” said Fred Whitridge, President and Chief Executive Officer of Evergreen. “We are delighted to have Mary Raleigh head this initiative. She is an industry-recognized roofing expert, and she is highly respected by her customers.”

Raleigh was previously associated with GulfEagle Supply in Denton, TX. Prior to her relationship with GulfEagle, she was President of Raleigh Roofing Co. and Tile Roofs Inc. in Chicago, IL.

“Evergreen has an exemplary reputation for product and service in the slate industry,” said Raleigh. “I'm enthusiastic about expanding the company's market share in my region.”

Evergreen Slate Co. offers a broad range of natural Vermont slate products, including roofing slate, countertops, sinks, flooring tiles, patio tiles and landscaping stone.
