Stone Source’s Board of Directors has announce a strategic plan to position the company for growth and create a national platform. As an integral part of the plan, it has appointed Steven C. Pickert as President and Chief Executive Officer of Stone Source.

Prior to Stone Source, Pickert was the President and CEO of IMC-International Marble Collection from 2003 to 2009, a major distributor of dimensional stone and ancillary products. Prior to leading IMC, he held senior management positions at Owens Corning, Eljer Industries and Nortek Inc.

“I’m pleased to assume the position of Chief Executive and thank the Board for their confidence,” said Pickert. “Our plan is to build on the heritage and solid market position of Stone Source. We will continue to promote and enhance the company’s nationally recognized reputation as a unique provider of stone and ancillary surfaces targeted principally to architects and designers.”

Mark Shedrofsky, a co-founder of the company, will focus his worldwide material expertise on product development, further enhancing the company’s unique product lines and material offerings. He will also lead sales initiatives, key vendor relationships and spearhead the company’s product research and development, including sustainability programs.

Headquartered in New York City, the company has showrooms in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, Carlstadt, NJ, and Washington, DC, and offices in Philadelphia, PA, San Francisco, CA, and Seattle, WA.
