International Marble and Granite (IMG) recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 53,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom in the Kansas City area. "We wanted our new warehouse to reinforce the message that IMG has grown consistently over the past five years it has been here in Kansas, and this new facility is a tribute to that strength and continued longevity," said Kent Schweiss, vice president of IMG. The new warehouse, which houses more than $8 million in inventory, will be accessible to each of IMG's locations in addition to Kansas, including Colorado, Ohio, Florida and Italy.

"Our guests were very impressed with the size of the showroom and how it was displayed. In addition to housing more inventory, this spectacular facility comes complete with two running overhead cranes systems, which gives us the ability to supply truck load quantity orders to out-of-state fabricators and distributors in an expedient fashion," said Doug Kremers, general manager of IMG Kansas. Along with monitors capable of video conferencing to any IMG location in the U.S., there is a 50-foot truck-well designed to bring large containers into the building.

In addition to the new warehouse and showroom in Kansas City, wholesalers and the public can view IMG's entire inventory of stones via the company's enhanced website at Visitors can search this newly transformed website to search for stones by country, origin, type of stones, name of stone or color, while enjoying a new friendlier layout.

Located at 15300 W. 101st Terrace in Lenexa, KS, IMG Kansas is opened to consumers for viewing. However, it is wholesale only to architects, designers, tile contractors and fabricators within the Southeastern region. Their hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, contact IMG Kansas at 1-800-IMG-4661.
