Although the event showcases on a broad range of flooring and wall covering materials, the presence of natural stone and related products was increased in 2001. According to show organizers, the show experienced a 200% increase in companies showcasing tile, stone and other hard surfaces. "The success of Surfaces 2001 proves that the partnership between Hanley-Wood and World Floor Covering Association enhanced the floor covering event exactly as we had planned," said WFCA CEO Chris Davis. "The show was bigger, better and added more value to both attendee and exhibitor."
The all-new Surfaces 2001 Conference Program also proved to be a successful first for the show, according to organizers. Attendees registered for more than 2,500 seminar and workshop sessions on business, sales, marketing, installation, technology and design. Many of the sessions were sold out and all were well attended.
The Surfaces Show is owned by Hanley-Wood, LLC, a business-to-business information provider in the residential and commercial construction industry.
