ITASCA, IL -- Architects, landscape architects, interior designers and other members of the design/build community who feel that a project of theirs has achieved design excellence incorporating the use of natural stone are invited to enter the 25th Tucker Design Awards competition sponsored by the Building Stone Institute (BSI).

Established in 1977, the Tucker Design Awards are presented to honor excellence in the concept and design of projects utilizing natural stone. Projects that should be considered include residential, commercial and institutional structures; landscapes; interiors and restorations. Memorials, landscape elements and fountains are also encouraged.

Incorporated in 1919, the BSI is an international trade association, which includes as its members the leading natural stone quarriers, fabricators, dealers, importers, exporters, installers and restorers of all types of natural stone.

Detailed entry guidelines and a submission binder will be mailed to each entrant upon receipt of a completed “Call for Entries” form. Deadline to receive the complete entry form with the associated fee is September 30, 2005. Completed submission binders are due November 11, 2005. The presentation of the awards will take place in May of 2006 in San Francisco, CA. Any interested party should contact Connie Kitzinger at the BSI or visit the BSI Web site at www.buildingstoneinstitute.org.
