SURFACES: StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas makes key staff promotions

October 22, 2012
DALLAS, TX -- SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas has announced two key staff promotions. Amie Gilmore, former Show Manager of SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas, has been promoted to Associate Show Director. Kerry Cree, former Account Executive, has been promoted to Senior Account Executive. The promotions were made based on their track records of producing results and commitment to the show’s success.

“SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc America’s commitment to provide superior experiences for both exhibitors and attendees helps us stand out in the trade show industry,” commented Dana Teague, Group Director. “We are fortunate to have Amie’s exceptional strategic planning and leadership skills, as well as Kerry’s devotion to identifying client needs and executing accordingly.”

Gilmore has been with the SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas team since the purchase of SURFACES in 2000 in various roles on both shows. She became the SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas Show Manager in 2010. During her time as Show Manager, she proved to be a passionate leader focused on developing a results-oriented team. Gilmore was an instrumental leader in the co-location of SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas in 2011. With the help of Gilmore's leadership, SURFACES 2011 was named #66 on Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 rankings. In recognition of Amie’s ability to lead her sales team to exceed various sales goals, Gilmore was nominated for the 2012 Mike Wood Sales Manager of the Year Award, honoring the top performing sales manager in the company. Gilmore is heavily involved in strategically developing show enhancements for the 2013 show floor such as the NWFA Pavilion, the Business Enrichment Center, and several other new partnerships.

With more than 12 years of trade show experience at Hanley Wood Exhibitions, Gilmore will continue to cultivate her skills and bring much success to SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas.

Cree joined the SURFACES sales team in 2010. As Account Executive, she has proven to successfully manage exhibitor accounts as well as provide outstanding customer service. She has excelled in sponsorship sales, consistently brings new exhibitors into the show and is a leader on the SURFACES sales team.

During Cree's first year, she was nominated for a Hanley Wood Red Point Award for Competitive. In recognition of Cree’s ability to routinely reach her sales goals, she was also nominated for the Michael J. Hanley Sales Person of the Year Award, honoring the top performing sales person in the company. She is responsible for leading sales initiatives in one of SURFACES’ new show features, the NWFA Pavilion, which will debut on the 2013 show floor.

Cree will continue to be an instrumental asset to the SURFACES sales team in her new position as Senior Account Executive.

SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2013 will be held January 28-31 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV. Exhibits will be open Tuesday through Thursday. The Education Program opens Monday, January 28 and goes through Thursday.
